Any earlier and the bump often isn’t quite round enough yet; any later and standing or moving around can become tiring. That said—every pregnancy is different, and beautiful images at week 28 or 38 are absolutely possible. Just ask us. **How long does a maternity session take?** Plan on about 2 hours from the start of your appointment: roughly 30 minutes of make-up, about an hour of shooting with breaks, and roughly 30 minutes to pick your photos. We take our time, since standing for long stretches in pregnancy can be tiring. You set the pace. **What should I wear?** Soft, body-hugging fabrics are the classic choice (a top + long cardigan, a simple dress, or underwear + an open shirt). Bring 2–3 outfits—even a bare bump with a loose top, or a long flowing scarf, photographs beautifully. **Can my partner be in the photos?** Yes, very much so. Older siblings are very welcome too. Easy to reach by public transit: the Bornkampsweg bus stop (lines 2 and 3) is practically across the street, and S-Bahn Ottensen and Diebsteich are a 10- to 15-minute walk. Free parking nearby—important during pregnancy. There’s a nice side effect: you feel most like yourself in your own clothes, and it shows in the pictures. The studio has a changing room, so you can switch between outfits. Fitted dresses or tops that show the bump photograph especially well. For the couple shots we’d suggest simple, solid colors—in our experience that works best together.
