Accessibility statement
BEAUTYSHOTS Hamburg wants beautyshots-hamburg.de to be usable by everyone. This statement describes where the site stands, lists the content that is not yet accessible, and tells you how to report a barrier.
Scope and legal basis
This statement covers the website beautyshots-hamburg.de in German and English. No law requires this website to be accessible: the rules for public bodies (Directive (EU) 2016/2102, implemented in Germany by BITV 2.0) do not apply to private providers, and Germany’s Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) exempts micro-enterprises that provide services (section 3(3) BFSG). We publish this statement voluntarily. We measure the site against EN 301 549, the European standard public bodies use for their websites, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 at level AA.
Conformance status
This website partially conforms with WCAG 2.1 level AA: in our checks the pages themselves meet the criteria; the content listed below does not yet fully conform or could not be fully checked.
Among other things:
- In our measurements, text reaches a contrast of at least 4.5:1 and large text at least 3:1, in light and dark mode, including text on photos. You can switch the color scheme in the page header.
- Form fields stand out from their surroundings with a contrast of at least 3:1.
- On the pages we checked, everything works with a keyboard: menus, dialogs, the gallery viewer, picking an appointment and getting to the payment form. Focus is visible, and a skip link jumps straight to the content.
- There’s no sideways scrolling at 320 pixels wide or at 200% zoom. Wider line, letter and word spacing doesn’t cause it either (measured at 390 and 1280 pixels wide).
- Images have text alternatives, and purely decorative images are marked as decorative. Every page has one main heading, headings in order and its language set. Form fields have labels, and error messages appear as text.
- Animations stop if you’ve turned on “reduce motion.” The site has no videos or self-running carousels.
- Without JavaScript you can still read the pages and use the contact form and search.
Content that is not accessible
Documents. Vouchers and invoices come as PDFs, and the terms and right-of-withdrawal notice come as PDF attachments to your order confirmation. These PDFs have structure tags, but we haven’t checked them against PDF/UA. The terms and the right-of-withdrawal notice are also web pages, and your voucher code and PIN are also in the text of the email.
Third-party content. The payment form comes from Stripe and runs in its own frame. You can reach it with a keyboard and our automated check found no errors in it, but we can’t test it fully. If you choose PayPal or Klarna, you’re sent to their own pages, which we haven’t checked. The map on the contact page loads only when you click, as an image from Google; the address is next to it as text. WhatsApp and our profiles on social networks and review sites are links only and aren’t in our hands. If you can’t use online booking or payment, send us an email or a WhatsApp message and our team will help you personally.
Other.
- In the review carousels, very long reviews are visually cut off after nine lines and long names after one line, more often with wider text spacing. The full text is in the page code, but you can’t currently expand it.
- On the wheel of fortune, the form and the spin button work with a keyboard, the spin animation stops with “reduce motion,” and the result appears as text. We tested this with a simulated response, not a real spin, because every spin creates a code.
- Booking, payment, voucher redemption and the wheel of fortune need JavaScript. On small screens the menu also opens only with JavaScript; the main pages are linked in the footer as well.
- Pages you only reach after a purchase (the confirmation and managing your appointment through your personal link) need a real booking and weren’t part of our checks.
How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on November 5, 2026. It is based on an assessment by our contracted service provider Digital Domination LLC in November 2026, using automated checks (Lighthouse, axe) and targeted keyboard, focus and contrast checks in light and dark mode. The site wasn’t tested with screen readers or by people with disabilities. We review the statement once a year and whenever the site changes substantially.
