Your last meeting ends at five, and your LinkedIn photo is still a crop from the Christmas party two years ago. An after-work photo session is built for exactly that moment: a professional photo session with a late start, booked for 6:00 PM—or for a Saturday—so your workday never gets in the way.

What is an after-work photo session?

An after-work photo session is a professional photo session planned around a full workday—either a late weekday start after office hours or a weekend appointment. At BEAUTYSHOTS Hamburg, the studio is in Hamburg-Altona, the sessions in this guide range from €49 to €149 depending on the category, and a visit takes about 2 hours from your start time with make-up, or about 1.5 hours without.

It’s the after-work plan you actually keep. A drink is empty by nine; the images from your session stay—on your LinkedIn profile, in your application folder, or framed at home. We’ve been photographing in Hamburg since 2004, and more than 25,000 customers have trusted us with that moment—rated 4.8 out of 5 stars from 285+ reviews.

How late can I book? The times at BEAUTYSHOTS

So where and how late can you get professional photos taken in Hamburg after office hours? Photo sessions at BEAUTYSHOTS Hamburg have start times between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The time shown in the booking calendar is when your appointment starts—not a time window. From that moment, plan on about 2 hours with make-up, or about 1.5 hours without.

That means the latest start is 6:00 PM—late enough to leave the office calmly first. If no weekday evening fits your calendar, Saturday works too, with start times until 6:00 PM. And if you’re coming by car, free parking is available nearby—practical when you’re driving straight from the office.

The studio sits at Beerenweg 1E in Hamburg-Altona. You’ll find directions and a map on our contact page—worth a quick look before your first visit, so the evening starts relaxed.

Which photo session suits your evening?

The right session for your evening depends on what you need the images for: career photos for LinkedIn and applications, a portrait for yourself, or a themed session as the evening’s highlight. These categories work particularly well around office hours.

  • Business photos—€149 per person: no make-up, commercial usage rights included. For teams, plan on about 30–45 minutes per person depending on group size. Details on the business photo session page.
  • CV and application photos—€49: the quick, focused option for your next application. See CV photo sessions.
  • Portrait—€59: no make-up; ideal if you want timeless images of just you. Portrait photo sessions.
  • Beauty—€79: professional make-up included, perfect for an evening that feels like a treat. Beauty photo sessions.
  • Real Man—€79: our men’s session, with professional grooming included. Men’s photo sessions.
  • Couples—€79: make-up included for one person, €25 for the second. Couples photo sessions.
  • Where make-up isn’t part of the package, you can add it for €25 per person.

For many after-work bookers, the motivation is professional: an up-to-date headshot for LinkedIn, a company website, or a job change. If that’s you, our guide to business headshots in Hamburg goes deeper on looks, usage rights, and what makes a headshot work.

Straight from the office: how to prepare

Preparing for an after-work session is easier than most people expect—because the studio is set up for people who come straight from work. There’s a changing room at the studio, so you can switch between outfits when you arrive—just bring your own favorite looks.

  • Bring 2–3 outfits: your business look plus a more relaxed second look for contrast.
  • Solid colors photograph more timelessly than busy patterns—bring your clothes ironed.
  • Skip tight bra straps and tight sock cuffs in the hour before your session; they leave pressure marks on the skin.
  • Washed hair with little styling product is ideal—our light and your natural texture do the rest.

If your session includes make-up—Beauty or Couples—come bare-faced. Our make-up artist builds your look from zero using MAC and other professional brands, so anything you apply beforehand only has to come off again. For Business, CV, or Portrait sessions, simply come as you are—straight from the office is the natural look for those categories—and add make-up for €25 if you’d like it. For more wardrobe ideas, our outfit guide covers every session type in detail.

What can you expect? The after-work flow

An after-work session follows a clear, relaxed structure: a welcome, up to about 30 minutes of make-up where it’s included, about an hour of shooting, and roughly 30 minutes choosing your images together. From your booked start time, that’s about 2 hours with make-up, about 1.5 hours without.

It begins when you walk in—we’ll offer you something to drink: coffee, tea, water, orange juice, or apple juice, and a glass of sparkling wine on request if you want to mark the end of the workday properly.

Then we shoot. About an hour, with full posing guidance throughout—you don’t need a single second of experience in front of a camera. During your session, it’s just you and our team in the studio room, so the atmosphere stays private and exclusive. And there’s no mass production here: we take 80–100 shots per session, with your poses and looks guided one by one.

At the end, you choose your images together with us at the screen—about 30 minutes, entirely without obligation. Every session includes at least one fully edited digital image, and all images are delivered digitally in full resolution: chosen on-site, your photos are ready as soon as your appointment ends; through the online gallery, they arrive within a week. Prints you order in the studio are printed here on a high-quality photo printer and go home with you right away. We keep your photos for four weeks after the session—longer if you tell us a date you’d like.

What does an after-work photo session in Hamburg cost?

For the sessions in this guide, prices range from €49 to €149: CV photos at €49, Portrait at €59, and themed sessions such as Beauty, Real Man, and Couples at €79. Business is €149 per person with commercial usage rights included, and make-up can be added for €25 per person where it isn’t part of the package.

There’s no hidden second bill. Additional images are optional, you choose them after the session, and there’s no obligation to buy a single one beyond your included image. If you do want more, photo packages start at €100 for five images and go up to €379 for all images from your session. The full breakdown lives on our pricing page, and our article on what a photo session costs in Hamburg explains how the pricing works.

Booking, gifting, and your questions

Booking is slot-first: choose your session on the photo sessions page, pick a free slot in the online calendar, pay the session price online by Klarna, PayPal, SEPA direct debit, or credit card, and receive your voucher and booking confirmation by email. Then just come at exactly your booked time: not earlier, and not much later.

An after-work session also makes a gift that doesn’t end up in a drawer. Our value vouchers are valid for three years, the recipient redeems the code on the redemption page and picks their own slot, and if you’re wondering who such a gift suits, our post on seven occasions for gifting a photo session has ideas.
